Volunteer Requirement

Concession Stand and Fundraising Guidelines

Thank you for volunteering your time to support the Bergen Stars football organization. Our concession stand is a vital source of fundraising that helps us keep costs down and provide a great experience for all our athletes. We appreciate your support and encourage you to review the following guidelines before your scheduled shift.

1. Volunteer Sign-Up & Donations
All concession stand sign-ups and donation requests will be shared via SignUpGenius by the Volunteer Coordinator at the beginning of each week.

2. Family Participation Requirement
Each family is required to volunteer for two (2) games/slots at the concession stand during the season. Your signup must be confirmed by the Volunteer Coordinator.

3. Cancellations
If you are unable to fulfill your scheduled duty, please notify the Volunteer Coordinator at least 2 days prior to game day so arrangements can be made.

4. Volunteer Check-In
We require five (7) volunteers per game. Please arrive 10 minutes before the game starts, check in at the concession stand, and sign in for your shift.

5. Game Coverage Schedule
Concession stand coverage will follow this rotation:

    •    9U volunteers cover the 8U game
    •    8U volunteers cover the 9U game
    •    11U volunteers cover the 10U game
    •    10U volunteers cover the 11U game
    •    13U volunteers cover the 12U game
    •    12U volunteers cover the 13U game

6. • 3 Chain Volunteers – Help manage the down and distance for the game by working the chains.
    • 1 Front Gate Attendant (Security & Check-In) – Responsible for checking in participants and managing field access.
The front gate attendant will be provided with a list of approved individuals. Only those on the list will be allowed entry into the field.
 
Fundraising:
 
Fundraising is a vital part of our organization. It allows us to keep costs down, cover essential expenses, and provide more opportunities for the kids throughout the season. As a nonprofit organization, every dollar raised goes directly back into supporting the children.

We are not a town-funded program and do not receive any taxpayer-based funding or budget allocations. That’s why fundraising is absolutely key to our success.

We kindly ask all families to participate in our PlayBook Raise fundraiser. It’s a simple and effective way to help—just enter 20 or more active email addresses, and PlayBook will send out donation requests on your behalf. It’s quick, easy, and makes a big impact.
